Habitat for Humanity VISTA is your opportunity to learn while contributing through national service. Members help Habitat affiliates develop their capacity to build more houses by taking on crucial roles in resource development, project management, construction coordination, volunteer recruiting, family support services, thrift store development and more.
While in service, Habitat for Humanity VISTA members receive an annual living allowance of up to $10,200 and health insurance. Members may also be eligible for childcare. Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive their choice of a $1,200 stipend or a $4,725 education award.
West Pasco Habitat for Humanity is seeking a VISTA Construction Manager. Must have some construction or non-profit experience. Must have ability to plan, develop, and implement sustainable plans. Strong organizational skills and ability to work with others. Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse range of people. Basic knowledge of Internet, word processing.
To apply, you must be 17 or older and possess a high school diploma or GED. You must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States.

Committees: Our affiliate is run by a 14 member Board of Directors. We are always looking for new faces to join us in our mission. If you are interested in joining our Board, please contact (727)-859-9038 or email: wphabitat@yahoo.com.
We also need volunteers to work on several committees.
Family Selection: Where it all begins, help in selecting those families who will ultimately become the beneficiaries of the Habitat program. Contact

Family Partner: Help our families make the transition from being renters to homeowners. Help them through the process of becoming a Habitat partner by providing support, information or just being someone they can call on.
Volunteer: Help coordinate the efforts of the volunteers working on our various projects and recruit new volunteers with interest in the program.
Fund Raising: Help coordinate events designed to raise the financial support that the program needs to sustain a significant build rate.
Site Selection: Help in locating suitable lots for us to build on.
Church Relations: Help us get the local churches involved in our mission and coordinate the efforts of those church communities that have already chosen to become involved.
Public Relations: Help develop relationships with the local media, speak or represent us at local events, keep us in the "public eye".
Construction: Help us plan the houses we build.
Other Opportunities: In addition to the above committees, there are many other ways of becoming involved:

* Provide us with or help us serve food to our construction volunteers or at other special events
* Provide us with a financial contribution
